CANNON CULTURAL MUSEUM
Showcasing Middle Tennessee's Folk Art And Craft Legacy

The Arts Center of Cannon County's Cannon Cultural Museum was created in 2008 with the latest expansion of the center in Woodbury, Tennessee.
The new wing contains a 2,400 sq. ft. museum space enabling the display of themed, interpretive and interactive exhibits from the center's permanent collection.
The permanent collection is comprised of artifacts and art works from the Caldwell Collection of Self-Taught Art, the Cannon County Basketry Collection, and the Cannon County Historical Society Collection. Included in the collections are white oak baskety, southern folk pottery, visionary and self-taught paintings, sculpture and mixed-media works of art.
The structure also houses the Arts Center's offices, a rehearsal space and a café.
In 2010, the center participated in a solar energy project. Good Earth Energy leased the Arts Center's roof to prepare for 29 kilowatt solar installation. After 15 years of operation, the system will be donated to center, allowing it to benefit directly from reduced energy bills.
The Arts Center received the Governor's Environmental Stewardship Award in 2011 for the project. The award recognizes exceptional voluntary actions that improve or protect the environment and natural resources with projects or initiatives not required by law or regulation.
Admission to the museum is free The center is open from 10AM to 4PM PM, Monday through Saturday. It is located at 1424 John Bragg Highway, Woodbury, Tennessee.
