Spring Fed Records Releases Gospel CD

The Arts Center of Cannon County's award-winning in-house record label, Spring Fed Records, is releasing a new CD containing a selection of gospel songs.
Entitled, I'm believin', the CD features songs by The Settles Family, Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal, Jack Pearson, Mahal Filipina Singers, and John Baird.
This CD and many others can be purchased from Spring Fed Records through their website: www.artscenterofcc.com/recordstore.
Spring Fed Records won a Grammy in 2008 for Best Album Notes. The award winning liner notes, written by Bruce Nemerov were for the CD, John Work III: Recording Black Culture, a CD featuring Work’s personal field recordings of sacred harp singing, quartets, string bands, blues and gospel singing recorded in the earlier part of the 20th century.
Begun in 2002, Spring Fed Records mission is to make available great, obscure traditional music recordings for a larger market. Funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Folklife Program of the Tennessee Arts Commission, Spring Fed Records actively seeks out historic field recordings, live performances, interviews and limited pressings, tied to Tennessee’s rich musical heritage to re-master and issue for commercial release.
